Alyssa Ackerman 

M.S. CCC-SLP 

Speech Language Pathologist

Alyssa Ackerman is a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) with a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College. She brings 8 years of specialized experience serving children in private practice and school settings. 

Her clinical expertise is centered on pediatrics, with a strong focus on early language development, play-based therapy, autism spectrum disorder, and speech sound disorders, including articulation, phonology, apraxia of speech, and fluency. Alyssa also provides intervention for feeding and swallowing challenges, helping children and families build positive and functional mealtime experiences. 

In addition to her direct therapy work, she frequently supervises students, clinical interns, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). Alyssa also holds advanced certifications Parkinson’s communication program, SPEAK OUT!® & LOUD Crowd®) and is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). 

She is deeply passionate about supporting families and empowering children to achieve meaningful progress in communication, confidence, and connection through personalized, evidence-based therapy.
