Connections Therapy was founded to provide high-quality, relationship-centered speech-language services for children and families. What began as a clinical practice has grown into a broader mission: delivering personalized, responsive, and flexible support not only to private clients, but also to school districts and licensed clinicians.
We operate with a concierge-style approach and prioritize accessibility, communication, and accountability in every partnership. Unlike large contracting companies, we remain hands-on and relationship-driven, ensuring that both our families and partnerships receive consistent and thoughtful service.
Through a growing network of licensed professionals, we provide personalized speech and language therapy services to families and support schools with short- and long-term coverage. In every setting, our focus remains the same: meaningful outcomes, strong communication, and trusted partnerships.
Meet The Founder
Alyssa Ackerman

Speech Language Pathologist

Alyssa Ackerman is a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over eight years of experience serving children in both private practice and school-based settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College and specializes in pediatric speech and language development, including articulation, phonology, autism spectrum disorder, fluency, and early language intervention.
Her clinical approach is relationship-centered, evidence-based, and individualized to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
In addition to direct therapy services, Alyssa has extensive experience collaborating with school teams, supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), and supporting special education programs. She founded Connections Therapy to bridge high-quality clinical care with reliable school-based partnerships, creating meaningful outcomes for students while supporting school districts nationwide with trusted, licensed professionals.
